The development of a specific type of scientific journalism – a museography started since the second half of the ХІХ century on Ukrainian territory that was part of the Russian Empire. This article has not lost its relevance: today the first Ukrainian museum catalogs, albums, descriptions, reports, programs are actively being led into the bases of scientific researches of humanitarian and artistic profiles. The purpose of the research of this article is to reveal the influence of financial, industrial, political, socio-cultural and mental aspects on the development of the museography in Ukraine of the late ХІХ and early ХХ centuries. The article describes the impact of political, economic and socio-cultural changes that took place in the Russian Empire in the second half of the ХІХ and early ХХ centuries on the appearance and development of a special segment of scientific literature – museography. It is shown how in the context of internal reforms the assortment and improvement of material and scientific quality of publications about Ukrainian museums and museum collections were increased. Turn attention to negative factors such as armed events, censorship rules. It was proved that the key factor in the formation of the national museography was the patriotic attitude of the participants of the museography process. Given the presence of considerable obstacles of subjective and objective character, one can argue that the key role in the appearance and development of the museography on the Ukrainian territories of the Russian Empire was played by the world orientation of the persons involved in the museography process. The financial, administrative and socio-cultural changes caused by the development of capital relations were successfully used by the Ukrainian intelligentsia for collection and preservation of the national cultural and resource heritage in the form of museum collections of private and public status, as well as publication of this heritage in the form of museum publications of different types, for example catalogs, descriptions, reports, albums. |
