This book is the memoirs of the Ukrainian pianist and composer, Anatolij Mirosznyk, who lived in Sydney, Australia. It embraces a large span of time from the end of the 1920s till the early 2000s. Through the author’s reactions to the events, the reader will acquire an understanding of how Kyivites (people of the city of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine) lived in the 1930s, and in the 1940s during the occupation during the Second World War. The memoirs present interesting facts about the author’s life, from his childhood, the forced labour in Germany, the migration to Australia, and the author's career within the cultural life of Ukrainians in Australia.
This book is addressed to all readers.
